I just felt so awful for the heroine over how damn selfish, inconsiderate, and self absorbed the hero was. I know lots of readers are loving it, and lots of readers are connecting enough to get emotional from it -- so it definitely could be a "it's just me, and not you" thing going on. He knows that high school is short-lived, once he’s out, he has no plans to ever follow the rules again (not that he did follow many rules). He has risen to the height of success as an A-list actor, the star of the latest action film series.

I loved how the story went back into the past from when Kennedy and Jonathan first met, and to the present as well. Her prose is beautiful and lyric, evoking different reactions in the reader by simply changing sentence structures or shifting points of view, and her consistent use of present tense makes us live this story and feel deeply the sting of these characters’ emotions. the epilogue was so sweet, and i was very glad to see them finally getting the happy ending they deserved, but i really wish it was longer and more detailed. I LOVED it - like all the feels, all the heartache, all the pain, it just seeped into my soul as I got swept along so easily with gorgeous story of second chance love. I stand here for a moment before the door cracks open again, her head peeking out as she whispers, “You gots to knock. You have all the makings of a modern-day tragic hero, and she’s never felt so compelled to explore somebody’s story before… even if that’s kind of creepy, ugh. i think hearing this little girl say some mature things was enough birth control to last five years. I’m a diehard fan of Ms Darhower and once again, she has showed me her versatile writing in all its glory.

The ending was perfect and I'm happy that now Kennedy can fulfill her own dream and now they have become this perfect beautiful and adorable family that were always supposed to be. A heart-broken, hardworking single mother with a spine of steel that was left in his rearview mirror as he chased his dream and got lost in a haze of alcohol and drugs.Ghosted is told in split present-day first-person alternating chapters between the two lead characters – Kennedy and Jonathan – and second-person chapters detailing their past. And there’s Jonathan’s older sister who loves watching her niece, but the past five years have only ever really been Kennedy and Maddie until Jonathan waltzes into town and decides he wants to be a father again.
