Autumn walks us through the four years of high school and her ever evolving feelings towards Finn who she may not communicate with at school but remember their lives are still heavily intertwined. I don't know what I was expecting when I initially picked this one up, but it wasn't the level of depth I found myself encountering.

The beautiful cover and the description of this book lured me in and I couldn’t wait to read this story. It’s such an amazing book I havent finished it yet but I know the ending is going to me amazing and is already very engaging and draws you in on the first pages . He likes me to be feminine and girly and although I’m super smart it does truly make sense to let him make all of my wardrobe decisions. Unlike literally the rest of the world I am the only person that didn’t realize how this was going to end.

I think it’s one of those things you don’t even really care about and you think, “oh whatever, it doesn't seem that bad” but then it comes and at first you’re like ? Common Sense is the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of all kids and families by providing the trustworthy information, education, and independent voice they need to thrive in the 21st century. That is mental illness: the constant rewind and fast forward of feeling too much and not enough, the past being as palpable as the present.

Because I asked the same questions, showered until I was numb, craved books because I couldn't stand my own actions in a blurry and unforgiving world, and feared I was on the path to being trapped in my own mind like my couch-ridden mother. However, toward the end of eighth grade, Autumn felt pushed out by the group of friends she and Finny shared, so they drifted apart. Not sure how I feel but even though I hate the trope, I can't bring myself to care much since this is a stand-alone.I kept going back to the front of the book to make sure it wasn’t an Advanced Reader Copy but sure enough, it was read and approved by an editor. Honestly, I hadn't thought I was going to cry once I'd begun reading because I didn't like the characters, but look at me now. This book is a treasure; I can feel the printed words seeping through my skin and into my veins, rushing to my heart and marking it forever. In the summer after graduation, Autumn and Finny reconnect and are finally ready to be more than friends.

Finn is a gem and I love him <3 I predicted the ending (both of them-) and it was very sad, even if I didn't myself much connected with the characters. Both characters need each other to move on from their issues but disaster strikes and everything changes.I see Sylvie sitting sideways out of the back of the policeman's car, her feet drumming on the wet pavement as she talks. It’s a story which deals with issues of friendship, first loves and family in the most raw and intense way I have come across in a long time.

Autumn's boyfriend, Jamie, is smart, handsome, and patient enough to nurture her through her bouts with depression. Autumn’s reflections on love’s possibilities and near-misses will surely resonate with the unsettled teen soul, and readers will get exactly what they came for, and then some. That still doesn't stop the way Autumn feels every time she and Finn cross paths, and the growing, nagging thought that maybe things could have been different. So, get ready to vibe because these books paired with Taylor Swift’s sound and lyricism have our hearts absolutely captivated.
