About this deal

There were many things I liked, in the end; for example, I appreciate the positive turn Emilia's character's made since the slight downfall it endured in the second book. She confirmed herself like the real badass I knew she'd become. This book also had way too many loose ends for my taste. A lot of random arcs that just got lost in the main plot line which wasn't even a proper plot as I mentioned before. Emilia? Her whole personality is just the fact that she wants sex. She occasionally thinks about her sister but mostly it's just sex. Oh and she will often say "goddess above" to make you think she's doing something. News flash- she's not.

This book can be turned into a Disney Channel Original Movie if you remove the smut. Because the author tried so hard to make Emilia a badass but ended up making her sound like a character from Descendants and that was an insult to Descendants. I wish I was joking because this is literally how I saw the characters. (Go to minute 2:32 to be exact.) I'm sorry in advance if this bunch of nonsense will be full of typos and incongruous, but it's late and I've been awake since 2012, but I just finished this book and I can't start another one or do anything else really, without putting down some thoughts, first) I forgot to mention Emilia got on my nerves a lot. Not just because of her sex-crazed state, but because I felt like she was trying too hard to be tough and badass. I don't quite know how to explain it. She just gave off weird vibes the whole time. Sure, all the questions I've had ever since I first read KotW were answered, but I didn't expect them to be presented so matter-of-factly and with little to no conflict. And finally we have this book that was, yes, a nice way to end a trilogy I've come to love, and yes, very entertaining but also... not. When a high-ranking member of House Greed is assassinated, damning evidence somehow points to Vittoria as the murderer. Now, Emilia will do anything to get to the bottom of these accusations against the sister she thought she knew. Kerri Maniscalco grew up in a semi-haunted house outside NYC where her fascination with gothic settings began. In her spare time she reads everything she can get her hands on, cooks all kinds of food with her family and friends, and drinks entirely too much tea while discussing life’s finer points with her cats. Welcome to another episode of Cyra hates everything! Today we will be discussing this abomination! Hooray! It’s somewhere around the 60% mark that it switches completely to convoluted plot. There were now too many conflicts, too many side stories, too many obstacles. I couldn’t keep it all straight, nor did I make much effort to.

but im so glad im finally done with this series, it was a mess lmao. and i will be waiting for the spin off💅🏻 This review will involve spoilers. They will be tagged but sometimes GoodReads decides to be a pain in the ass and mess with the tags on the mobile version so read at your own risk. As this is a work of pure fiction, I'm considering it as it is. My own beliefs are not causing any sort of hindrance in my rating. While I've read a lot of fantasy, and I do cause it's one of my favourite genres- I do not agree with everything I read. It is meant to be taken as a work of fiction, aka not real. i need to formally apologise to Vittoria, Goddess of Death, the superior twin sister, master manipulator and the realest, baddest bitch about... i am so sorry i ever called you a bland, caricature villain. i judged you too harshly, baby girl, and for that, i will never forgive myself. Thinking of waves lapping made me think of Wrath’s skilled tongue and all the things he’d done to me with it. I squeezed my eyes shut, but that only brought on memories of Wrath between my thighs, a king indulging in a royal feast.Considering how many orgasms we were forced to witness, this book was entirely anticlimactic. The big bad curse that needed breaking resolved itself within a chapter, the villains weren't really villains, and so many side plots were just left hanging. This didn't feel like a final part in a trilogy at all, and that annoys and saddens me a lot.
